Turns Out, There’s a Lot to Take Away
There’s a lot that you can learn from tenured employees. This is especially true if you are new to the workforce. For many of the newbies at Pac Biz, tenured agents are worth looking up to and they can definitely get a lot of lessons that they can take away.
Since Pac Biz has only been in existence for five years, then it’s safe to say that most of these tenured employees have hit the three-year mark. These are the lessons that they can impart to newer ones.
1. How Long Have You Been in the Company?
Jan Zeebedee Palma
It is going to be my 3rd year anniversary next month here in Pac Biz.
Franz Nalam
I’ve been working in this company for more than two years now and I have to say that my experience has been wonderful.
Almira Bermejo
I have been working in Pac Biz for 3 years and 10 months now.
2. How Did You Start Out?
Jan Zeebedee Palma
It was after a movie time with my wife at Robinson which I happened to bump into Thom who is already an employee at Pacbiz. We had a little talk that led me to apply here and the rest is history.
Franz Nalam
I started out as a call taker for Blue & White Taxi. Then I had a chance to be one of the pioneering agents for Black & White Taxi. I’ve also taken calls for VIP taxi before being recruited to be part of the Training Department.
Almira Bermejo
Three days training with the client and the tools we used, two days side by side with the tenured agents, and after that go on live calls with the real customers. But knowing Pac Biz, the accounts are very easy.
3. What Have You Learned Along the Way?
Jan Zeebedee Palma
That if you love your job it could take you to places.
Franz Nalam
Throughout my career in PacBiz, my experiences have validated the mantra: “hard work beats talent if talent fails to work hard.”
Almira Bermejo
One is learning to accept constructive criticism. Second is Staying calm under pressure keeping a cool head. The last one is the value of hard work in communicating with people.
4. What Advice Can You Give to New Agents?
Jan Zeebedee Palma
Focus on getting better every day. Have enough sleep and pray for guidance from our Heavenly Father.
Franz Nalam
Be confident enough to commit mistakes and learn, confident enough to try new things on your own, and confident enough to ask questions.
Almira Bermejo
Keep a positive attitude. It’s alright not to know everything because of being new, we always encounter problems.
Hopefully, these lessons resonate with newer Pac Biz employees who in turn will be more adept in their field as agents. As the tenured agents have grown, so will the new ones if they simply keep their determination throughout the way.
